#NotAlone

An important step on the healing journey is understanding you are not alone.

We are a pebble tossed into a pond rippling into a tidal wave of change.

PLL Raises Awareness

The 2025 PLL Awareness Raising Kite Flight™ Lifted Essex County Higher

On September 20, 2025, kites graced the skies over Elmwood Park with color and hope at the annual PLL Awareness Raising Kite Flight™.

Together, we celebrated resilience and safety with free kites, haircuts, school supplies, beauty kits, and mental health support through the PLL Safe Space. Civic leaders, including Mayor Ted R. Green, Senator Brittnee Timberlake, and East Orange Councilmembers Tameika Garrett-Ward and Bergson Leneus, joined us in uniting Essex County for healing and empowerment.

As Councilwoman Garrett-Ward shared, “When you release a kite, it’s like releasing the trauma. You soar, and the possibilities are endless.”

💙 When we fly together, our whole community rises.
