“Girl, We’ve Got You Covered!”™ is PLL’s program designed to help those escaping abuse rebuild their self-esteem and lives.
When a woman is fleeing her abuser, grabbing a toothbrush and toothpaste is the last thing she’s thinking. By networking with shelters and other outreach programs, PLL provides GWGYC packages containing but not limited to toiletries, makeup, feminine products, and other incidentals to women and their families.
Part of PLL’s mission is to help build the arsenal that a woman and girls need to survive.

GWGYC Package delivery to girls in Vieques Puerto Rico
"The "GWGYC!" care package program is our effort to help women and children escaping abusers rebuild their lives. Through our research, we've learned that when a woman is trying to escape abuse, personal care items are the last things on her mind. Our previsionary program partners with domestic violence shelter to distribute personal care items such as feminine care products, soap, shampoo, makeup and other necessities that help to bring a sense of normalcy to a very abnormal situation. We also provide diapers and children's products to families who are displaced by abuse."
